She decided it was worth a try - and her first session proved to be a revelation."

Why is hypnotherapy the most dramatically effective short-term therapy?

I frequently see clients who have previously had many sessions if not years worth of psychotherapy or counselling - only to make significant breakthroughs and transformations in just one or two sessions of hypnotherapy.

Therapy is most effective as a short term intervention to produce behavioural change. Traditionally, therapy has been thought of as a long-term, expensive and arduous task, which is ridiculous. Therapy of more than limited duration is usually counterproductive because it undermines the innate creative resources of the client and fosters dependency.

Careful, intuitive exploration and techniques allows the core fixed-ideas, beliefs and 'programs' to be found. Hypnosis then provides the quickest, most powerful route to subconscious change, releasing positive, useful and life-enhancing differences.

It was probably the most productive therapy session I have ever had! My experience with 99% of other therapists is the exact opposite..."
Mary, Crediton

Why is hypnosis so valuable?

Hypnosis is an excellent resource for both your mind and body. Through the deep relaxation of hypnosis it can be surprising what feelings or memories surface. Hidden conflicts can cause countless symptoms ranging from headaches, low energy, lack of motivation and physical ailments. Through exploring, understanding, and reprogramming your own mind you can enjoy the power of your own psychology for a change. Its also phyiscally, mentally and emotionally very relaxing.

Since I’ve seen you, things have changed so much for me. I think that I had got to a point where I couldn’t help myself any more and one visit to you was just the thing I needed."
Rebecca, Cullompton

What makes hypnosis and hypotherapy stand out from all the other therapies out there?

Hypnosis has long been accepted by medical communities in America, UK and worldwide as an effective resource for relaxation and subconscious change. Its direct and to the point - dealing with subconscious processes rather than spending hours and hours talking consciously. Its rapid, powerful and therefore very reasonably priced.

Is hypnosis a loss of control?

Hypnosis isn't all about swinging watches and dancing like a chicken! Whenever something grabs your attention, or you watch TV, read, or go on a journey you could easily go into a trance. Your attention is focussed on something, whilst you are unaware of everything else that your subconscious is taking in. Clinical hypnosis is used to actually wake you from your existing trances, before directing your mind in a way that you want for a change.

It has nothing to do with sleep, or being unconscious. This site will show you just how important hypnosis already is to your life, how you can benefit from hypnotherapy, and just how flexible and powerful the mind is.
