The Exeter Quit Smoking Sessions are a great informal way to get motivated to quit. Part of the problem in quitting is the fact that various elements of you still want to smoke. Once you absolutely, one-hundred-percent want to quit, and wouldn't even smoke if someone paid you to, quitting gets much easier. Its all a question of motive. And motive can be greatly helped by awareness, and looking from different perspectives.
The Power's in the Thinking
The Exeter Quit Smoking Sessions are designed to build up your motive for quitting, whilst eroding your reasons for wanting to smoke. A number of techniques are involved in approaching this:
- Information & awareness
- Dirty facts and tricks of the Tobacco Industry
- Hypnotherapeutic processes
- Neuro-Linguistic Programming
The sessions will provide you with excellent knowledge, awareness and stimulation to really get those thoughts, perceptions and beliefs around smoking to change. What you do with that stimulation is up to you! If you have a nugget of motivation to begin with then you can use these sessions to get even more strong-willed, even more confident about yourself and your ability to quit.
Will you quit smoking by attending a session?
It would be dishonest to say yes - and you know that. Whether or not you quit is up to you, and I wouldn't ever want to take that control away from you. I have helped hundreds of people, including hospital inpatients to quit smoking - but I'm not responsible for a single one of them. I make sure they realise that they did it on their own - by choosing (or not) to listen to what I had to say, to follow along with a few psychological techniques, to use self-hypnosis with me as a guide. I want you to quit because you want to - I just want to provide some powerful stimulation to help you on your satisfying journey.
What's to lose by learning, exploring your mind and developing new psychological skills? What's to gain by smoking another cigarette?
Now lets flip that - whats to gain by attending a Quit Smoking Session - and what's to lose by continuing to smoke?
If you're still having doubts - then perhaps these sessions are not for you. You do need that nugget of motive to begin with - the thick blanket of irrational excuses and fearful defense mechanisms can be tough to break through otherwise. But, perhaps you still might want to see what you're missing.
